In infants

In young and adults

Natural Remedies to Combat Oral thrush infection

1) Clove Oil

Put a mixture (2 to 3 drops of clove oil with one tablespoon of coconut oil ) into your mouth and on your tongue for 20 minutes before spitting and brushing them with a toothbrush.

2) Thyme Oil

To avoid and reduce the severity of oral thrush, you should

  1. Reducing the intake of processed, refined, sugary foods, or even natural fruits and sugars like honey.
  2. Avoid drinking alcohol because it weakens the immune system and allows the growth of fungi.
  3. Maintaining good oral hygiene while cleaning the teeth thoroughly several times daily and soaking dentures for a full night in vinegar if wearing them.
  4. Be sure to clean your tongue with soft cotton daily and not share your toothbrush with another person.
  5. Eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep and rest.
  6. Avoid smoking because it can worsen symptoms.
  7. Eat foods that are easy to swallow, such as gelatin, ice cream, or milk.
  8. Drink lukewarm water several times a day.

For infants:

  1. Make sure to clean and sterilize children's toys, baby bottles, and anything else the child puts in his mouth.
  2. Wash children's clothes at 60 degrees Celsius to kill all fungi.
  3. The nursing mother must wash the nipples with lukewarm water and dry them completely in the infant.
